Marathon 26 Mile Self-Supported Hike Across The High Dunes of the Sahara Desert

This is not a holiday. You'll be inspiring friends, family, and future generations by doing something extraordinary for the people and communities that matter to you.

An attempt to cover 26 miles across the Sahara Desert and climb the highest dunes in the Northern Sahara Desert in 2 days.
Along the way we’ll pass through Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara, to our start point at an ancient Saharan wadi, take on the highest dunes in the desert, pass by Berber tribes, witness some of the most stunning scenery on the planet, and get an unpolluted view of the Milky Way, whilst raising much needed funds for the charities of your choice.

The Challenge in a Nutshell:

+ Start point: Erg Chigaga Wadi, Nr the small oasis town of Mhamid, Saharan Morocco.
+ Hike 100km across the Sahara Desert and The High Dunes.
+ Work as a team in the harshest of environments.
+ Mix of accommodation including rhiads and tents.
+ Expert guides on all sections.
+ UK based training and team-building days.
+ Become proficient in expedition foot care, nutrition, and clothing systems.
+ Raise much needed funds for your charity of choice.
+ End point: Foum Zguid oasis, western Jbel Bani..

This challenge is not a holiday. No flash accommodation or spa treatments (save for the odd application of chaffing medication). This is a real expedition challenge and the going is arduous but achievable for the individual prepared to get themselves in shape.

Don’t worry though, there will be plenty of training opportunities and a tailor made training plan for those who require it.
