How To Become Part of the Team

It's important we build the right teams for each of our challenges so the team selection process is initially via application form following one of our frequent online or in-person presentations.

Previous teams have been made up of age groups straddling 18 - 75 years old. There are no prerequisites in terms of knowledge, ability, age, gender, race, or religion, just a desire to get stuck into the challenge of a lifetime and raise as much as you can for the charity of your choice.

Places are extremely limited but where over-subscription occurs we often set up a second team.

How Fit Do You Need To Be?

You should be moderately fit in order to consider the challenge, then willing to do a bit more to get to expedition fitness.

It’s always our goal to ensure that you not only complete but enjoy the experience. To that end we organise regular team building sessions which you are welcome to participate in free of charge.

We will cover a lot of challenge miles per day over a duration of 5-7 hours but if your confidence is a little low we have prepared training plans to fit your life commitments and get you where you need to be.

Team building involves hikes in inspiring locations throughout Wales & The West.

We understand that family/work/other commitments and geography might preclude you from attending the training sessions but team melding is just as important as fitness so please try to come along.

Costs & Charity Fundraising

It’s important to us that our Challenge teams are willing to support the communities they live in, so to that end you will be required to raise funds for a charity/charities that are close to you.

We ask that team mates individually raise a minimum of £250-£500 per challenge and while this might seem relatively low, our experience tells us that the extreme nature of the challenges usually means a lot more is raised.
